Tahini Sesame Dip

Tehineh is an Arabic dip and is used to accompany Arabic bread, meat dishes, and dishes in general.

  • 1/2 cups tahini, (ground sesame paste)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons coarse salt
  • 1/2 cups lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon pine nuts

  • In a food processor, combine the garlic and coarse salt. Add the tahini and lemon juice, and process.
  • Remove from the processor and place in a bowl. Season with cumin and salt to taste. The flavor should be sesame with a tangy touch.
