Tapas are a great appetizer before presenting any dish. They are also an excellent addition to gatherings where not much food will be served. They are easy and delicious, the perfect combination.
Cut 12 slices of the baguette. Place them on a baking sheet, let them toast for 10 minutes or until they look golden. Allow to cool on a rack.
Place the cream cheese in a bowl and mash with a fork until it is smooth and spreadable.
Arrange the baguette slices on a serving tray and spread the cream cheese on them, then add 3 to 4 slices of fig along the bread. Finally, add a slice or roll of serrano ham. Garnish with a small leaf of parsley or cilantro.
