Quick Fish Ceviche

Quick and easy preparation of fish ceviche to share on a special occasion with friends.

  • 2 kilos fish fillet, (hake or grouper)
  • 4 red onions
  • 8 yellow ajíes, sweet
  • 2 spicy ajíes, optional
  • 3 cups lime juice
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • leaves lettuce, preferably repollada and fresh cilantro for garnish
  • cookies, or toasted bread to accompany

  • Wash the fish well and chop it into cubes.
  • On the side, finely slice the red onions into julienne strips.
  • Chop the peppers.
  • Place in a glass container the lemon juice, sweet peppers, onions, and spicy peppers.
  • Add the fish to the container, cover it, and let it marinate for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Place it in the refrigerator.
  • When serving, place lettuce leaves at the bottom of the tray or plate, add the ceviche, and garnish with onions, peppers, and cilantro.
  • You can accompany it with crackers or on toasted bread.
  • Enjoy your meal!
