Easy Mexican Tuna Tostadas

This recipe for Mexican tuna tostadas is very economical, easy, and is made with basic pantry ingredients, such as canned tuna, vegetables, and tostadas.

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, for sautéing
  • 1 onion, for sautéing (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic, for sautéing (finely chopped)
  • 3 tomatoes, for sautéing (diced)
  • 2 serrano chiles, for sautéing (finely chopped)
  • 1 bunch cilantro, for the dough
  • 3 cans canned tuna in water, for the filling (drained)
  • 2 Romaine lettuces, for the filling
  • 1 teaspoon cumin, for the filling
  • 3 avocados, for the filling
  • salt, for seasoning
  • pepper, for seasoning
  • 1/2 cups tostadas, for serving

  • Heat the oil in a pan, then add the onion, sauté for 1 minute, and when it is transparent, add the tomato, garlic, and finally the chopped green chili to continue cooking for 8 more minutes.
  • Add the tuna to the pan and mix in, cook for 3 more minutes, and season with salt and ground black pepper.
  • Slice the lettuce and avocado. Set aside.
  • On a tostada, serve the Mexican tuna filling and garnish with sliced lettuce, chopped cilantro, and avocado slices to taste.
