Tuna Bombs

The classic tuna and potato croquettes but in larger portions and with a fun name. They come accompanied by a very simple yet delicious and original side dish.

  • 500 grams mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cans tuna
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 dash cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups rice flour
  • 2 eggs

  • Mix the mashed potatoes with the mustard, tuna, tomato, onion, 1 egg, and 1 cup of breadcrumbs. Mix very well with your hands until you have a dough-like consistency.
  • Form balls the size of an egg. Set aside. In a bowl, beat the egg with the milk and season with salt and pepper. On another plate, place the breadcrumbs with a little salt and pepper.
  • Dust the potato balls with flour, then dip in the egg, remove the excess, and coat with the breadcrumbs. Repeat this process twice and fry in hot oil.
  • Place on absorbent paper to remove excess oil and serve with a bit of couscous salad.
