Tuna Calzone with Peppers

Prepare the delicious calzone with a quick and easy dough, filled with soft mozzarella cheese and a tuna mixture with peppers, tomato sauce, olives, and spinach. This warm tuna calzone, dipped in tomato sauce, is ideal if you want something different to eat.

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 onions, sliced
  • 2 cups bell pepper, colorful, julienned
  • 2 cups spinach, julienned
  • 1 cup cherry tomato, cut in half
  • 1/4 cups black olives, sliced into rounds
  • 2 Dolores® solid loin of yellowfin tuna in water
  • 1 cup tomato purée
  • 1/4 cups water, for the yeast
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1/2 kilos wheat flour
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1/4 cups water
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat with the oil, cook the garlic, onion, peppers, spinach, cherry tomatoes, olives, and the Solid Yellowfin Tuna Lomo Dolores® in water with the tomato puree for about 10 minutes until all flavors are integrated. Let cool.
  • In a bowl, hydrate the yeast with water and let it rest. Mix the wheat flour with the yeast, olive oil, salt, sugar, oregano, and gradually add the water, using only the necessary amount. Form a dough, let it rest for 10 minutes, and set aside.
  • On a table, roll out the dough to form a circle ½ cm thick, fill with the tuna mixture, add mozzarella cheese, and close the calzone.
  • Place the calzone on a baking sheet, bake for 20 minutes or until cooked and golden brown. Serve and enjoy.
