Fish Tacos with Achiote

Pamper yourself during pregnancy with these delicious and nutritious fish tacos with achiote. They are low in fat and are marinated in achiote with orange and chipotle that you will love. You can have them either for lunch or for dinner, they will become your favorite recipe!

  • 4 sea bass fillet
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 160 grams refried beans
  • 6 corn tortillas
  • 1 avocado
  • 3 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 cup red cabbage
  • 1/2 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons achiote
  • 1 can chipotle chile
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • For the marinade: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Cut fish into strips and place them in a bowl with the marinade. Mix well so that all the fish is covered with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour; this will make the fish more flavorful.
  • Heat a skillet and add fish with a bit of the marinade. Turn it over using tongs, taking care not to break the strips. Baste with marinade for more flavor.
  • Heat corn tortillas and spread a bed of refried beans on them. Place fish strips on top. Garnish with red cabbage, light mayonnaise, and avocado.
