Bring the milk, apples, honey, and cinnamon to a boil in a 3-quart saucepan. Add the oatmeal and bring to a boil again. Reduce to medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed.
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Let the oatmeal sit until it reaches the desired consistency.
Serve it in a deep plate and garnish with pistachios.
