Buffalo Chicken Tacos

  • 1/2 cups cornstarch

  • 2 cups chicken breast, in strips
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 1/4 cups buffalo sauce, for the sauce
  • 3/4 cups butter, melted, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar, for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika, for the sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder, for the sauce
  • salt, for the sauce
  • vegetable oil
  • tortillas, taco size
  • 2 cups Manchego cheese, shredded
  • lime

  • Mix the salt, pepper, and cornstarch.
  • Dredge the chicken strips in the cornstarch, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
  • Fry in plenty of oil over medium-high heat until the chicken is crispy on the outside and cooked on the inside. Set the chicken on a rack with paper towels to remove excess fat.
  • Heat a pot over medium heat and pour in the hot sauce, butter, vinegar, and spices. Use a whisk to mix until well combined. Heat for a few seconds until integrated. Let cool.
  • Pour the buffalo sauce over the chicken, mix, and set aside.
  • Heat the tortillas in a large skillet, add cheese and the buffalo chicken, and close immediately. Wait until a sort of crust forms with the tortilla and cheese.
  • Serve the buffalo chicken tacos hot and accompany with lime.
