  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 6 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup tomato, finely chopped, for the pico de gallo
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Jalapeño chiles, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar, from the chilis
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • salt

  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 12 slices deli ham

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup queso fresco

  • In a skillet with oil, fry the tortillas until they are toasted. Remove excess grease with paper towels.
  • For the pico de gallo, in a bowl mix the tomato with the onion, jalapeño pepper, chili vinegar, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  • On a cutting board place the tostada and spread with beans, add the lettuce, ham, cream, and cheese.
  • Serve and garnish with the pico de gallo.
