  • Place the meat in a bowl and pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch, then stir to combine well. Marinate the meat in the refrigerator for at least 40 minutes.
  • Pour the sesame oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, white pepper, and chicken broth into a pot. Bring to medium heat and cook until it boils, reduces, and thickens. Allow the chop suey sauce to cool and set aside.
  • Pour two tablespoons of sesame oil into a wok and cook the edamame for 3 minutes, then remove from the wok and set aside. Do the same with the marinated meat, adding more oil if necessary. Stir constantly for at least 20 minutes, remove from the wok, and set the meat aside.
  • In the same wok, cook the onion, garlic, and ginger for at least 3 minutes or until they become fragrant. Then, add the green bell pepper, mushrooms, and bean sprouts.Once you notice the vegetables starting to change color and shrink in size, it's time to add the broccoli, corn kernels, and meat. Sauté while stirring constantly for another 5 minutes. Mix to incorporate all the elements of the chop suey.
  • Finally, add the sauce you reduced in step 2 and mix to combine the entire preparation. Give it one last heat boost.
  • Serve the chop suey in a deep plate and garnish with the snow peas, sesame seeds, and chili flakes.
