If you love Yucatecan food, you have to try this delicious meat tostada; the combination of plantain and meat is delightful, and the best part is that it’s very easy to prepare—you will love it.
Blend the achiote with orange juice, lime, salt, pepper, and marinate the steaks.
Let the steaks marinate while you blend the tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, and salt.
Grill the steaks in a pan with a little oil, then grind them with a food processor.
In a pot, sauté the mixture of tomato, bell pepper, and onion, then add the ground meat. Leave it on low heat until it dries out, stirring constantly and without covering.
While the meat is finishing, fry the plantains.
Serve on tostadas with refried beans, cream, and cheese, and garnish with the fried plantains. You can add salsa to taste.
