Sushi Bowl with Tuna

Sushi bowls, known in Japan as chirashi-zushi (chirashi means scattered), consist of bowls that contain sushi rice and ingredients such as vegetables and fish on the surface.

  • 2 cups sushi rice, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
  • 100 grams fresh salmon, finely sliced sashimi quality
  • 100 grams fresh tuna loin, finely sliced sashimi quality
  • 2 tablespoons nori, wakame seaweed
  • wasabi, optional
  • soy sauce

  • Carefully fold the sesame seeds into the cold rice.
  • Divide the rice evenly among four or six serving bowls. Arrange the slices of salmon and tuna on top and garnish with the wakame seaweed. Serve with a bit of wasabi paste and soy sauce.
