Potatoes with Swiss chard

  • 2 cups bacon, in thin strips
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups chard, disinfected, in strips
  • 4 potatoes, in slices
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 20 slices Manchego cheese
  • butter
  • Roasted chicken, for accompaniment

  • Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat, add the walnuts, onion, and Swiss chard and cook for 5 more minutes. Season if necessary, remove and set aside.
  • Place some butter in a baking dish and add a layer of sliced potatoes, a layer of Swiss chard, a bit of cream, and slices of cheese. Repeat the process until the dish is full.
  • Bake the potatoes with Swiss chard at 180 °C for 45 minutes.
  • Cut a slice, serve with roasted chicken.
