Pasta with Basil and Pine Nuts

This delicious pasta is accompanied by a sauce of basil, olive oil, lemon, and pine nuts.

  • 500 grams fettuccine pasta
  • 1/2 cups basil
  • 1/4 cups pine nuts
  • 1 lime, its juice and zest
  • 1/8 cups olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • leaves basil, for garnish

  • Bring a large pot of water with plenty of salt to a boil. Once the water is boiling, cook the pasta for 5 minutes or until al dente. Remove from the water and drain, rinse with a little cold water to stop the cooking.
  • While the pasta is cooking, make the sauce. Heat the olive oil in a small pan and sauté the garlic for 2-3 minutes.
  • In a food processor or blender, mix the basil with the oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, and cream.
  • Return the sauce to the pan and heat. Add the pine nuts.
  • Toss the pasta with the sauce.
