Italian Salad with Bowtie Pasta

Try this delicious Italian-style pasta salad, dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette with a touch of crunchy bacon, thyme, oregano, and lemon. It also includes pieces of prosciutto and mozzarella cheese. Delicious!

  • 2 cups bowtie pasta
  • 1 liter water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cups balsamic vinegar, for the vinaigrette
  • 1 cup olive oil, for the vinaigrette
  • 1 tablespoon lemon, for the vinaigrette
  • 1/4 cups bacon, finely chopped, for the vinaigrette
  • 1 tablespoon thyme, for the vinaigrette
  • 1 pinch oregano, for the vinaigrette
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped, for the vinaigrette
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 200 grams prosciutto
  • 1/2 cups black olives
  • 1/2 cups yellow bell pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, in small balls
  • 1/4 cups red onion, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomato, cut in half
  • 2 cups arugula

  • Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water. Drain the pasta and drizzle with olive oil. Set aside. enjoy.
  • In a bowl, mix all the vinaigrette ingredients until you achieve a homogeneous mixture. Set aside.
  • In a salad bowl, mix all the salad ingredients, drizzle with the vinaigrette, mix well, serve, and enjoy.
