Pasta Salad with Tuna and Peas

This tuna salad is not the typical one as it is full of flavor. It includes pasta, peas, celery, red onion, and tomatoes. The dressing is delicious and is made with a mix of mayonnaise and yogurt with a touch of balsamic vinegar. It’s a great salad to take to a picnic or for lunch at the office.

  • 250 grams pasta, cooked (can be whole grain)
  • 1/4 cups mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cups plain yogurt, low-fat
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, (and 1 teaspoon)
  • 2 cans tuna
  • 4 sprigs celery, chopped
  • 15 cherry tomatoes, 1 or 2 tomatoes diced
  • 2/3 cups peas, frozen
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water for 30 seconds.
  • Mix the mayonnaise, yogurt, and vinegar with a fork. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Put the tuna in a large bowl and use a fork to break it into small pieces. Add the pasta, chopped celery, diced tomatoes, thawed peas, and red onion. Stir and add the dressing.
  • Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate until ready to serve.
