Chocolate sauce

This rich chocolate sauce accompanies cakes, breads, cookies, ice cream, etc.

  • 225 grams dark chocolate, in pieces
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cups corn syrup, Karo
  • 1/4 cups butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla essence
  • 1/8 tablespoons salt

  • In a large pot, mix the cream and sugar and cook over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Add chocolate, honey and butter and cook over low heat until everything has melted and incorporated.
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla and salt.
  • Allow it to cool to room temperature and transfer to saucer containers, store in refrigeration.
