Homemade Spicy Sauce for Snacks

  • 10 grams dried árbol chile, (without stems)
  • 100 grams dried guajillo chile, (without stems)
  • 2 cups water 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cups vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoons oregano 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons pepper 1/2 teaspoons pepper

  • Boil the chiles with the water in a small pot over high heat for 10 minutes or until softened. Drain and let cool slightly.
  • Blend the chiles with the rest of the ingredients very well; if necessary, add a little more cooking liquid to achieve a sauce consistency,
  • Strain the sauce and place it in a bottle.
