500 grams nopal, chopped
1 onion, slice
200 grams panela cheese, cut into cubes
3 dried árbol chiles
5 cups water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pinch garlic powder
salt and pepper

Boil the chopped nopales until they are tender.
Drain the nopales and rinse with cold water.
In a saucepan, fry the onion; add the nopales along with the chile de árbol to the saucepan.
Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook for 10 more minutes and adjust the seasoning.
Finally, turn off the heat and add the panela cheese in cubes, letting it rest for a few minutes.
