Red Rice with Sausages and Peas

This recipe can be a delicious complete meal that kids will love. It is full of flavor and is prepared in a very simple way. Make it at home and you won't regret it.

  • 2 cups rice
  • 2/3 cups vegetable oil
  • 100 grams onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup tomato purée
  • 1 sprig parsley
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup pea
  • 1/2 cups bell pepper
  • 4 sausages, diced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated chicken bouillon

  • In a large pot, heat the oil and add the chopped onion, garlic, and parsley. After 5 minutes, incorporate the tomato puree.
  • Then add the chopped sausages to sauté for a bit. Now add the rice, stirring with a wooden spoon for 4 minutes.
  • Add the 3 cups of water and the powdered broth. Dice the bell peppers. Adjust the salt. Cover the pot and lower the heat, cooking for about 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
  • Uncover the pot and add the peas, stirring a bit so that the rice becomes very loose. Cover and let rest for 5 minutes.
