Fried Rice Recipe

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil, toasted
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups carrot, in small cubes
  • 1 cup soybean sprouts
  • 1/2 cups peas, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups rice, cooked
  • 1/4 cups soy sauce
  • green onion stalks, sliced, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil, toasted, for garnish

  • Pour a little sesame oil into a wok or deep pan, once hot, add the onion, carrot, bean sprouts, and cooked peas, then cook over medium heat until the vegetables have a shiny color. Remove all the vegetables from the wok and set aside.
  • Pour a little more sesame oil into the same wok and add the chopped garlic and the previously beaten eggs. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until they are about 80% cooked, that is, when the egg is still a little moist. Then, add the cooked rice and mix all the ingredients very well.
  • Add the reserved vegetables, soy sauce, green onion tops, and sesame oil. Mix well, cook the rice for 3 more minutes, and remove from heat. Serve the fried rice hot and accompany with soy sauce and sesame seeds if desired!
