Cream Cheese with Grapes

This recipe for cream cheese with grapes will be the ideal appetizer to delight your guests' palates on any special occasion. It is very easy to make, and the combination of gouda cheese with grapes is a true delight.

  • 2 tablespoons butter, in cubes
  • 2 garlic
  • 1/2 cups onion, in medium squares
  • 1/2 cups leek, in slices
  • 1/2 cups celery, in slices
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 liter chicken broth
  • 1/2 cups Gouda cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cups cream cheese, in small cubes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • grapes, halved, for decoration

  • In a pot, heat the butter and add the onion, garlic, leek, celery, and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat until they change color, add the flour, let it brown a bit, and add the chicken broth. Cook for 5 minutes and set aside.
  • Blend the previous mixture for 5 minutes and return to the heat. Add the gouda cheese and cream cheese. Cook for 10 minutes over low heat until the cheese is fully integrated, season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Serve in a bowl and decorate with halved grapes, and pair with a nice white wine.
