50 years may sound easy, but in this half-century, the French brand Yoplait has managed to position itself in the homes of thousands of families around the world due to its quality. It is clear that such golden celebrations cannot go unnoticed, and on June 17th, the joy began with a vibrant event at the foot of the Eiffel Tower in the City of Light, Paris. Here’s what happened.

The celebration was called Petite Fleur Folies, or in Spanish: The Crazy Adventures of the Little Flower. During this sunny summer day, a floral, musical, and mechanical artwork was created accompanied by families who attended to relax and share.

Being a highly significant event, Yoplait did not collaborate with just anyone but joined forces with the renowned French artist Gad Weil. The acclaimed street artist also teamed up with horticulturists and metalworkers to create a monument featuring:

• An unprecedented garden of 4,000 m²
• 500,000 flowers from 100 different species
• 8 metal and mechanical installations representing plants and animals

Multicolored flowers and metallic cows that seemed to jump into the Seine River impressed both young and old alike, but perhaps what is most commendable is that such artistic creation welcomed both Parisians and foreigners to enjoy a unique and special installation in the very heart of the French capital.

The Legacy

Through its 50 years of experience, Yoplait has filled many homes with smiles and has achieved milestones that we mention here:

• They have created 11 types of yogurts with 85 different flavors
• Their product is sold in over 50 countries
• Since 1977, Yoplait has donated 35 million dollars to programs like Friends in the Fight and Race to the Cure, initiatives in the search for a cure for breast cancer
• Since 2009, they have sought to produce their products with local ingredients, thus supporting the markets where their yogurt is sold, in addition to fighting for the environment
