Incredible Sangria Granita for Summer

The ideas to refresh ourselves during the summer are always delicious, as they have fruity touches, lots of ice, and sometimes even a hint of wine that we love.

This summer, the drink you can't miss has the consistency of an icee but the flavor of sangria. Of course, it includes red wine and has a citrus flavor.

With this sangria granita (also known as a slush), you can take advantage of the leftover red wine; it also works if you use rosé or white wine and will complement your cold cocktail recipes, like our piña colada frappé margarita, frappé carajillo, or the coconut frappé mojito.

The special trick for the granita is that you don't use water ice to make it, but instead, you freeze the wine!

To make the sangria granita, you will need 1 bottle of red wine, 1/3 cup of brandy, ¼ cup of orange juice, and 2 tablespoons of honey.

The step-by-step is simple, but you have to remember to freeze the wine in an ice cube tray the night before; this is the step where you can use the leftover wine.

Then you just need to blend everything together: the red wine cubes, the brandy, the orange juice, and the honey, until it has a smooth consistency, like cherry icee.

When serving, you can decorate the glass with slices of orange and lemon, and of course, don’t forget to use a reusable or biodegradable straw to drink it.
