Food spoils relatively quickly, but archaeologists have found some ancient preparations that have been preserved over time, and here are some of the oldest.  

Roman Wine

The Romans liked to be buried in style, and that's why a gallon of wine was found inside a tomb in Germany. It turns out they used olive oil to preserve the wine from oxidation, and this is the only bottle that has remained in liquid form for 1500 years.

Burnt Bread

Right in the province of Oxfordshire, England, more than a dozen pieces of burnt bread were discovered. Being in this state preserved its insides, where crushed barley was found over 5500 years ago. This means that the bread was prepared by some of the first people who stepped on Great Britain.

Butter

Apparently, 3000 years ago in Ireland, they made butter in bulk and liked to store it in huge copper barrels. In 2009, one of these containers was found, and inside was a still creamy, cream-colored substance that is said could still be consumed. Unfortunately, it is stored in the national museum of history, and it will be difficult for anyone to spread it on their morning bread.

Those Italians who believe that pasta was invented in their country might be very disappointed. Apparently, the first noodles, dating back 4000 years, were found near the Yellow River in China as they were preserved in a ceramic dish trapped underground due to an earthquake that created an air vacuum where they were preserved.
