4 Mexican Craft Breweries You Should Know

In recent years, the term "craft beer" has become popular to refer to a quality drink, where the brewing processes are carefully managed. However, according to Cerveceros de México, "craft beer is nothing more than beer".

In their view, this term refers less to a drink and more to a movement that seeks to rescue and reinterpret the diversity of beer styles available worldwide, drinks full of aromas, flavors, and identity.

Here are four Mexican craft breweries that are part of the development of this "beer culture" in our country and beyond.

Monstruo de Agua
It is one of the breweries with the widest variety of beers. It has special editions, all using very Mexican ingredients and unusual flavors for a beer, such as fig, cane, maguey, and even cempasúchil.

Hércules
Born and established in Querétaro, this brand offers a wide range of options for all tastes. The hibiscus beer is a pleasant surprise. As a tip, we recommend visiting their brewery and enjoying a good meal outdoors.

Cru Cru
This brewery, born in the heart of Roma, offers four different options, ranging from the more relaxed flavors like the Cru Cru American Lager to the more adventurous flavors like the Gose with Chapulines.

Cervecería Reforma
Its brewery is located in Obrera and offers two options: Templo Mayor, a red ale perfect for pairing with spicy meats, cheeses, and desserts, and Magna Imperial, a Kölsch style that pairs well with fatty meats, tacos, and seafood.
