Gastronomic Recommendations
Ceviche is one of the most representative dishes of Lent, and taking advantage of the season, this time we present the Kiwifav of the week, chosen by our Chef Alexandra Romero, who recommends the specialty restaurant Casa Ceviche.
Cassa Ceviche presents a new concept in the heart of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, offering an extensive menu with the best delights of Peruvian cuisine and, of course, its most emblematic dish, ceviche.
The restaurant is led by Chef José Luis Chávez, who has also established partnerships with local producers and fishermen to offer the freshest products from the area and promote fair trade in the community.
Diving more specifically into their menu, Alexandra recommends one of the traditional dishes from Cassa Ceviche: the Maya ceviche, a fusion of Peruvian and Mexican cuisines, with a touch of pre-Hispanic cooking, which is made with chili peppers imported from Peru, tiger's milk, julienne red onion, sweet potato mousse, crunchy corn, and cooked corn, a true explosion of flavors.

Within its unmatched menu, the cocktails also stand out, especially the Quetzal, a drink made with cucumber and basil water, mezcal, Controy, hibiscus concentrate, and cardamom. It has a fresh and novel flavor, perfect for enjoying a night in the Caribbean!
In addition to a menu with exquisite flavors, Cassa Ceviche is known for its details and excellent service, as both owners and staff will make you feel at home.
Don't forget to stop by Cassa Ceviche on your next visit to Playa del Carmen!
