Erizo, cocina de mar was inspired by the nostalgic story of chef Valerio, when as a child, he and his brothers accompanied their mother to do the shopping in Mexico City and as a reward, they were taken to eat at a street seafood stand, where he tried “the best shrimp cocktail”. This is how this warm restaurant emerged, which has become a favorite among locals.
The menu at Erizo is so fascinating because it combines the classic flavors of Mexican seafood with a touch of Asian flavors, while maintaining the essence of the chef, resulting in a new and extraordinary fusion cuisine. While you won’t find the traditional seafood broth here, you can discover gems like peanut and smoked chili aguachile, shrimp tostadas a la diabla, grilled oysters, and Thai ceviche.
