Snacks, Bites of a Revolution is the name of the documentary that premieres today in Spain and aims to portray the chefs who have transcended in the Spanish culinary scene. The documentary captures stories of talent from chefs, friends or rivals, creativity, innovation or plagiarism, of how and who broke the rules of the game and created a new Spanish cuisine that was able to shake the foundations of contemporary gastronomy around the globe. Snacks, Bites of a Revolution tells the stories of Ferran Adrià, Joan Roca, Juan Mari Arzak, Carme Ruscalleda, Eneko Atxa, Quique Dacosta, Albert Adrià, Ángel León, and Dani García, among other Spanish chefs who are now globally recognized for their talent but also for being part of a group of dreamers who broke molds. The participating chefs will attend the Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences of Spain to attest to what has been said and what the cameras have captured about what has happened in recent decades in Spain regarding gastronomy. We share with you the cinematic preview and we are very eager to know not only when we will be able to see the documentary, but also when they will begin filming a similar one in Mexico because we are sure, we are next. Directed by Cristina Jolonch and Verónica Escuer, Snacks, Bites of a Revolution aims to be a faithful testimony of how a Spanish gastronomic movement —full of creativity, passion, technique, and craftsmanship— changed world cuisine.
