A good diet should go beyond keeping us slim, preventing heart disease, avoiding wrinkles, and caring for the immune system. It should also help us preserve our memory, keeping our neurons healthy and functioning.

For example, consuming large amounts of saturated fats increases the levels of bad cholesterol in the blood, which can stick to our arteries and lead to frightening wrinkles on your face or a considerable reduction in the quality of our orgasms. How horrifying! On top of that, they reduce your memory capacity.
The same saturation that causes problems for our hearts is one of the main culprits behind vascular dementia, which occurs when neurons become inflamed or do not receive enough oxygen and blood flow, resulting in memory loss.
Poor dietary choices can lead to cognitive dysfunctions. What can we stop eating to avoid losing our memory too soon? Our friends at
ActitudFEM share with us the list of 5 foods that are bad for our neurons:
1. Trans Fats
Trans fats disrupt our metabolic processes, hardening the arteries. Let’s eliminate them from our diet!
2. Saturated Fats
These fats cause blockages in the arteries. We should not consume more than 4 grams per hour.
3. Excess Sugar
Excess sugar causes proteins in our body to function improperly, aging our arterial system. Avoid the grams of sugar you don’t need in your diet.
4. Syrups
All syrups, like maple syrup, cause proteins to not function properly, leading to diseases and obesity. Consume them only when strictly necessary.
5. Whole Foods that are not 100% Whole
100% whole foods contain a large amount of fiber, which helps keep arteries young. So eat as much fiber as you can, but if it’s not 100% whole, set it aside.
