We know that we live in an increasingly fast-paced world: home, work, social life, exercising, career growth, solving issues, attending events, keeping the family united and happy, all these things exhaust us not only physically but also mentally, and it is normal to feel chronic fatigue, especially if one does not have a healthy and balanced diet.

If your body is crying out for energy, don’t resort to energy drinks filled with chemicals; there are foods that, due to their benefits and properties, can give us the boost we need to finish the day achieving our goals.

If you are feeling a bit low on energy and need to reactivate, consume these foods, and you will notice the results!

Nuts
Nuts are one of the most energetic foods we can find in our kitchen, and the best part is that they are 100% natural. They provide a high content of essential fatty acids and are a source of proteins that give us strength. Plus, they are antioxidants! You can consume them as a snack in the mid-morning, and you will feel their effects immediately.

Banana
Bananas provide a huge amount of potassium, which helps to normalize the water balance in the body and strengthen muscles. Potassium is essential for the body to have energy throughout the day. In fact, fatigue and tiredness are often associated with a deficiency of this compound. You can add a banana to your oatmeal at breakfast or to a smoothie to start your day full of energy.

Eggs
Eggs are a great source of protein, and proteins are responsible for the functioning of muscles and for transporting nutrients through the blood, making them essential for the body to recover after exertion. A couple of eggs for breakfast will help you on a heavy day.

Seeds
Seeds contain omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids. They also provide B vitamins, iron, folic acid, and other nutrients that quickly convert into energy. Taking a handful of seeds when you feel fatigued will help you recover.

Spinach
They are rich in iron, magnesium, and potassium. Spinach contains carotenoids and beta-carotene, antioxidants, vitamin K, and B vitamins, and promotes digestion and muscle function, making it a very energetic food. You can add some leaves to your juices and smoothies or include them in your eggs to make a delicious omelet or prepare a fresh salad with them.

Garlic
Garlic contains inulin, which helps you feel satisfied for longer. Inulin also aids in iron absorption, playing an important role in preventing fatigue. Additionally, garlic improves blood circulation and reduces cholesterol. However, the best way to take advantage of all its medicinal properties is raw, as cooking it loses more than 90% of its effectiveness.

Oats
Oats contain phosphorus, iron, calcium, and lecithin and are a complex carbohydrate, meaning their digestion is slower and they provide energy for a longer period. That's why it's ideal to consume it at breakfast, whether cold or hot; you can accompany it with fruits or seeds to make it more complete.

Water
There’s no point in consuming energizing foods if you don’t drink enough water, as it is the water that allows for the absorption of essential nutrients and energy supply. At the same time, water is used by the body to help eliminate toxins. As you may know, it is recommended to drink about two liters a day. If you also start exercising regularly, you will feel more active and notice how you have more energy throughout the day.

As you can see, coffee is not the only thing that can help you start the day full of energy; there are other foods that will help you accomplish everything you need to do during the day.
