One of the most emblematic restaurants in Puebla is undoubtedly El Mural de los Poblanos, famous for its Mexican dishes and a traditional space with colorful murals. Starting from October 15 until November 30, Los Panchos restaurant will offer two delicious dishes from El Mural de los Poblanos: the classic beef chalupitas and the irresistible lamb Arabic tacos dressed with jocoque and a touch of chipotle and chiltepín sauce.

“We want to share a bit of what Puebla is. Chalupas can be found everywhere, in restaurants and on the streets. They are small tortillas, bathed in two salsa recipes, lard, and a little bit of meat,” explained Martín Hernández, executive chef of El Mural de Los Poblanos. He also gave a brief explanation about the importance of the Arabic taco in Puebla's gastronomy, “Puebla has an influence from Lebanese migrants, so basically they bring their food to the state. At the restaurant, our proposal for the Arabic taco is made with lamb meat.”

A special dessert for the festival

Alongside these delicious dishes, the Los Panchos team created a yogurt ice cream with red fruits that will be available from October 19 to 31, in support of the fight against breast cancer. Proceeds from this dessert will be donated to the COI Foundation, a civil society organization that supports women diagnosed with this disease.

The yogurt ice cream with red fruits is the perfect way to end a well-Pueblan menu. Remember that chalupas can be found bathed in both chipotle red sauce and jalapeño green sauce and the Arabic taco is available in a generous version of 3 Arabic tortillas with soft and juicy lamb meat.
