Michelin guide arrived in Mexico to award the first Michelin stars and make a long list of recommendations.
And what can we say about
Mexican gastronomy in general? In addition to having ancient roots and being enriched with ingredients from all over the world, let's not forget that UNESCO recognized it as a heritage of humanity. So don’t miss the details about the latest medal obtained by these Mexican chefs; at kiwilimón, we tell you all the details!

Receiving a mention on the list published by
The World’s 50 Best is one of the greatest recognitions a chef can receive. That’s why we are excited about the inclusion of 3 Mexican restaurants; congratulations to the chefs and their teams!
Rosetta
The restaurant led by
Elena Reygadas ranked #34 on the list. This award adds to many others that the Mexican chef has received in recent years, who was also awarded as the best female chef in the world in 2023. She also received a Michelin star in 2024.
It is important to mention that
Rosetta offers a wide variety of dishes and foods, but it is also a well-known space for offering high-quality sweet and savory pastries.
On the menu of this restaurant, you can find delights that fuse and reinvent classics of Mexican cuisine, such as cappellacci of amaranth with Taleggio cheese and smoked corn consommé, a sweet potato tamale with macha sauce and buttermilk, or the dessert of hoja santa and white criollo cacao.
Where? Colima 166, Colonia Roma Norte, 06700, Mexico City.
Pujol
Pujol, the prodigal son of
chef Enrique Olvera, recently earned 2 Michelin stars and is now ranked #33 on the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world.
For years, Olvera has dedicated himself to elevating and leading
contemporary Mexican cuisine, so it is no surprise that he has received another award. Whether with a tasting menu or omakase, the chef steals our hearts with his already famous mole madre or the corn with chicatana mayonnaise.
