The tough times always bring out the best in us, and even though this year the food industry, like many others, has been affected as we have had to stay home as much as possible, many initiatives are creating safe and amazing ways to reactivate and support it.

So, to close the year deliciously, don’t miss these 3 food and beer festivals, where you can discover new flavors, restaurants, and favorite places safely, but above all, support the people dedicated to this tasty industry.

Festival A qué me sabes #CDMX 2020
From Monday, November 23 to Sunday, November 29, 2020, you can enjoy exclusive experiences and events to taste the cuisine and bar of amazing restaurants, cafes, and bars through specially created menus by the great figures of Mexican gastronomy.

In total, 50 restaurants such as Azul Histórico, Azul Condesa, Sesame, or Alba Cocina, in different neighborhoods of Mexico City will offer three-course menus, with which each restaurant or bar will reveal a little piece of their cuisine at an attractive price, but fair for the establishments.

Check the official page of the Festival A qué me sabes #CDMX to learn about its schedule and all participating bars and restaurants.

Coca-Cola Metate 2020
Taco lovers will not miss the sequel to the festival that combines their favorites: music and the best tacos in the city. Coca-Cola Metate 2020 completely adapts to the new normal with a “drive-in” format, where you can enjoy the taco route from the comfort and safety of your car, and then enjoy the musical guests at the Palacio de los Deportes.

This year’s neighborhoods include Northern, Coastal, Al pastor, and Tiangüis offerings, with over 20 of the country’s favorite taquerias, alongside a unique lineup of artists, family entertainment, and a drive-thru format where participants will drive through different original and fun scenarios. Due to its success and to maintain social distancing, there is a limited number of cars per route, Coca-Cola Metate 2020 has been extended by one day and you can attend this festival on December 3, 4, 5, and 6, with 5 people per car. You can buy tickets on Ticketmaster starting at 400 pesos.

CDMX Ciudad Cervecera 2021
Among the reactivation events that have generated the most expectations for beer enthusiasts is the first edition of CDMX Ciudad Cervecera. From February 12 to 21, 2021, breweries in the city, hotels, restaurants, specialty boutiques, beer gardens, pubs, and tasting rooms will bring together the talent and products of 40 independent breweries from all over Mexico City.

“It will be 10 days where the pride of what is made with hops and malt, and the enthusiasm of thousands of entrepreneurs, will enliven the capital of the country with multi-experiences in venues and spaces that are part of our identity,” stated the organizing committee, made up of independent breweries and communication specialists.

CDMX Ciudad Cervecera 2021 will offer pop-up style activations and experiences that will help reactivate the economy of the city. These micro-events will operate respecting the highest sanitary measures and social distancing required by the new normal. The agenda includes brewery tours, takeovers, guided tastings both in-person and virtual, master classes, pairings, activations, corridors, concerts, and activities in hotels. Check all the details here or follow them on Instagram and Facebook.

Whether you miss concerts and going for tacos, beers with friends, or simply the experience of dining out, these three festivals are a safe way to relive these experiences while contributing to revitalize a very important industry for the country.
