• Reflect on what type of filter you need, as there are different options depending on the use and type.
• Do the math and keep in mind that, at first, the installation of this device could be a significant investment.  
• You're going to need to make space for it! Many times it is placed under the kitchen sink. 
• Ask what type of faucet they are going to install and consider that if there is low pressure, they may need to install a pump.  
• Remember that most contracts last for a year.

Before installing a water filter 

As you can see, installing a water purifier is perfect for saving money and taking care of the environment; however, Profeco mentions that you should take several factors and considerations into account: 

• Ask if they will need to make modifications to your kitchen and if there is an extra cost. 
• Compare prices! Do not hire the first filter you find and compare at least three. 
• Ask for information about the installation price and also the maintenance cost. 
• Make sure the water filter has a warranty and covers all kinds of defects.
