Tabule (from Arabic طبولة tabbula, pronounced tabbule in Lebanon), known in Spanish as Lebanese salad, is a typical salad from the Bekaa region, sometimes used as a side dish for the typical mezze of the area. It is a cold dish consumed during the hot summer months. (Source: Wikipedia) The main ingredients are finely chopped parsley, bulgur wheat, olive oil, tomato, as well as lettuce and other aromatic herbs, served with lemon juice as dressing. In some Middle Eastern cuisines, lettuce leaves are often used for serving. Similarly, in many areas of the Maghreb, it is prepared in a similar way, substituting bulgur with couscous.
