How to remove wax from fruits and vegetables

Sometimes,
fruit and vegetables are covered with
wax, which makes them look shinier and more appetizing. Once you get home and wash all your fruits and vegetables, you may notice that the wax doesn't come off, but don't worry, here we explain how to easily remove it using products you likely already have at home.
How to remove wax from fruits and vegetables
There are two ways to remove the
wax that covers
citrus fruits, apples, avocados, cucumbers, tomatoes, and more, for which you will only need two 100% natural products. On the other hand, remember that it is not recommended to use bleach or other chemical substances for this purpose.

An excellent way to remove
wax from fruits and vegetables is by using a bit of
baking soda, as
experts indicate that this ingredient helps eliminate any trace of dirt, grime, or wax.
What you can do is mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with ½ cup of water and use the mixture to clean your ingredients. In the case of citrus fruits, which are porous, you can use a small brush. Remember to rinse very well and dry before consuming fruits and vegetables.

World Health Organization indicates that if any fruit or vegetable is covered with wax, you can use
lemon juice to remove this substance before consuming the product.
Just like with baking soda, you can mix lemon juice with a bit of water and use the mixture to remove any trace of dirt or wax from fruits and vegetables.
