This is where eggs should be stored according to Profeco

Everyone says different things, but Profeco has put an end to the speculation and finally tells us the perfect place to store eggs so they last longer.

According to the information published by the authorities, the best place to store eggs is the refrigerator, but not in the door, rather in the inner part. This is because the temperature is colder and more stable inside than in the door.

Another thing that Profeco recommends is not to wash them before storing, as they should only be washed with water and soap just before using them.

Remember that it doesn't matter if the egg is at room temperature in stores or supermarkets, the best thing is to put it in the refrigerator as soon as possible.

If you want to choose the best eggs, Profeco also recommends checking the shell, which should be clean and intact; that is, it should not have cracks.

Regarding hygiene, it is very important to wash your hands before and after cooking with eggs. This is important because eggs can carry pathogens and there is a risk of cross-contamination. Also, don't forget to wash the kitchen towel and utensils that have come into contact with raw eggs.

What if the eggs have already expired? Don't cook them! They are no longer fresh and could even be spoiled, so don't put your health at risk.

If they are broken, pay close attention, because if the egg smells bad, it is not a good sign. Also, check that the white is transparent, because if not, it is recommended to discard it.

Finally, when your dishes with eggs are ready, let them cool and quickly put them in the refrigerator to prevent the growth of bacteria.

Now that you know that eggs are stored in the refrigerator and that they should not be washed until used, get to work and prepare the best egg recipes that only kiwilimón has for you. Here are a couple of ideas!
