7 summer economic activities for kids
Summer camps are great, but they can also be very expensive or somewhat repetitive. If what you are looking for is for your kids to have new activities while saving money in the process, then an ideal alternative is to take them to the nearest park to your home. We’re not just talking about a stroll, but rather getting involved in fun outdoor experiences that benefit both the little ones and the whole family.
Picnic
A picnic is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a green space while eating delicious food and playing some games. Your kids also have the chance to learn about taking care of the environment in the process. Set an example and make an effort to show them how to pick up and separate all the trash and how fires should not be lit in forested areas, for instance.

Bicycling
When little ones learn to ride a bike, it's best to do it in open places with few people to avoid accidents. During the summer, the city empties out a bit, making it ideal to hop on bikes and ride through parks and gardens to gain confidence and become experts.

A different idea is to teach children about reforestation through playful activities. Research which parks near you allow tree planting and make an experience out of it; with a bit of luck, your little ones will get used to the idea and carry it with them always.

Some state parks in Mexico include a zoo, as is the case in Mexico City. It’s not too expensive, and the experience of seeing animals from all over the world up close is invaluable. Little ones love to see the creatures they know from TV live and in person.

Exercise
Going to the park to play is already a good exercise for kids, but if you want to instill a love for fitness from a young age, then don’t settle for that. You can teach them to stretch, run longer distances, and even do aerobic movements. If they enjoy it, when they grow up, they will choose to be healthier themselves.

Having small remote control cars at home can be somewhat annoying, not to mention dangerous. When you buy these types of toys for your kids, take them to the park; they will have much more fun there where the device can reach its full potential.
