Delicious bread to fill with cheese, sausages, meats or accompany couscous and serves to prepare pizzas.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1/4 cups olive oil, or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups Water

Preparation

Dissolve the yeast in a quarter cup of warm water along with the sugar and let it grow.
Mix the flour with the salt and add the olive or vegetable oil, the water, the yeast, knead until the paste is smooth and does not stick on the hands, then let the dough grow until it doubles in volume, return to knead and let stand for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 10 parts and form rolls, then stretch them with a round shape of half a centimeter thick, let it grow a little while.
Meanwhile prepare a tray sprinkled with flour and bring to the oven for 5 minutes. Remove the hot tray and place the pitas. Cook at 200ºC for about 5 to 10 minutes until slightly inflated.

TIPS

You may need more flour so that the pasta is smooth, save it in paper bags.
