Mix the corn dough, lard, and salt in a bowl, then gradually add water until the dough is well hydrated. Form a ball and flatten it using a tortilla press and plastic to prevent sticking. Remember not to flatten too much to keep the dough a bit thick. Place the bites on a skillet and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, remove and place on a cutting board. Use your hands to pinch the edges, forming a border. Reserve.
