Ingredients

4 portions
  • 8 slices rustic bread, thick
  • 450 grams Gruyere cheese, sliced
  • 500 grams roast beef, sliced
  • 1/2 cups butter, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 4 eggs

Preparation

Preheat the oven 180 degrees. Grease all slices of bread on both sides.
Make the sandwich: a bread, a slice of cheese, a ham, then a cheese. Use a cutter in the shape of a circle and cut one through ham, cheese and bread. Cover with a bread without hollow.
In a pan that can be put in the oven place the sandwiches with the hole down until they are golden. Flip the sandwiches and put the starry egg in the hole.
Transfer the pan to the oven and cook until the egg is ready 10 - 12 minutes.

PRESENTATION

Serve with chipotle chili or a watercress salad for a brunch.
