Preparation
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In a small bowl, mix milk, egg yolks, and 3 tablespoons of melted butter.
Add the milk and egg mixture to the flour, beating until well incorporated and without lumps.
In another small bowl, whisk the egg whites with an electric mixer at medium-high speed until peaks form.
Carefully incorporate the whites beaten with the previous mixture with enveloping movements.
Add the chocolate chips and stir gently.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a hot pan and put a large spoon with 1/4 cup of the mixture to make a hotcake.
Let it cook 2-3 minutes (until bubbles appear) and turn it over.
Repeat this process with the rest of the mixture and with the rest of the butter.
