This recipe is much better than the "box" because it is cheaper and has much more flavor and benefits for your body. In addition, it is just as easy to make delicious hot cakes to start the day with a delicious breakfast.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla

Preparation

Fry all the dry ingredients and mix well with the liquids, taking care not to beat too much. If it is too hard, add a little more milk.
Heat a comal or stovetop, at medium temperature. Lightly grease with a napkin with oil or butter spray. Cook until bubbles appear and turn carefully. Cook for a few more minutes.

PRESENTATION

Serve with butter and honey maple or piloncillo. It can be accompanied with bacon or ham.

TIPS

This dough is very versatile: you can add striped apple with walnut and cinnamon or red fruits; the same can be used half and half of wholemeal flour or two tablespoons of oatmeal in the dough. Take care of cooking times.
