Heat the water in a medium pot over high heat and cook the tomatoes for 4 minutes. Remove from the water and blend with the onion. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a medium pot over medium heat; add the tomato sauce, cook for 5 minutes, then add the ham and peas and heat for another 3 minutes, season and set aside.
