Soak the lentils the night before. The next day, drain them and place them in a pot with the onion, chopped parsley, bay leaf, garlic, salt, and a splash of raw oil. Add water and bring to a boil, adding the sausages halfway through cooking. If the sausages are red, paprika is not necessary.
