Ingredients

10 portions
  • 1/2 liters Water
  • 100 grams honey
  • 2 eggs, whole
  • 5 egg whites
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 500 grams wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 600 milliliters Water
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 100 milliliters Rum, of good quality
  • 1 boat chantilly cream

Preparation

Beat in a deep bowl 1/2 liter of water with honey, whole eggs, egg whites, add 200 grams of sugar and salt. Incorporate the flour with the baking powder.
Grease and flour a baking pan, preferably in the form of a thread and empty the preparation. Let it stand for 20 minutes at room temperature.
Once the resting time has elapsed, we will bake at 180 ° C for 12 minutes or until it is cooked, we will know this by inserting a fork into the bread, if it comes out clean, we will remove it from the oven.
To prepare the rum syrup, heat the 600 milliliters of water with the 250 grams of sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the rum and when it is hot, remove from the heat and let cool a little.
Once our rum syrup has been tempered, we pour it over our breadth and ready, we can cut and decorate with chantilly cream.
