Melt the butter sticks and beat with the sugar. Add the eggs, flour, cocoa, and baking powder one by one while continuing to beat. When all the ingredients are incorporated, add the nuts and vanilla. Grease a square baking pan with butter and pour in the mixture. Bake the brownies in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes. While the brownies are baking, melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler and spread it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 10 minutes. Remove from the fridge and cut into rectangles with a sharp knife to make the RIPs for your brownies, return the rectangles to the fridge for at least 30 more minutes. Remove the brownies from the oven when a toothpick inserted comes out clean, allow to cool, unmold, and cut into large squares. Assemble the Halloween brownies by placing one brownie and using frosting to stick a rectangle of chocolate.
