Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. ( 350°F)
Mix the baking powder, flour and salt.
Beat the egg whites together with milk.
Beat the butter until you achieve a creamy consistency.
Add the sugar to the butter gradually and when it is well mixed add the vanilla.
Add the mixture of the dry ingredients in 3 portions, alternating with the eggs mixture. Mix until all the ingredients are incorporated.
Pour in a buttered and floured cake mold.
Cook 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and cut the cake in two through the middle.
Fill the top of one side with vanilla jam and frosting .
Place the other cake on top. Leaving the filling in the middle.
Cover all the cake with the frosting (you can use a pastry bag) and sprinkle with colored sprinkles on top.
